Every 3D printed design begins long before the printer starts. It begins with an idea, sketched, shaped and refined in Rhino 3D through countless iterations, and problem solving.
Designing for 3D printing is a balance of creativity and engineering. Every curve, tolerance, overhang and connection is carefully considered to ensure the model not only looks great on screen but also prints successfully in the real world. Rarely is a design printed perfect on the first attempt. Each prototype is printed, tested, evaluated and adjusted before the process begins again.
A single design can take anywhere from several hours to several days and even months to perfect, while the printing itself may require between 2 hours to 30 hours depending on the size and complexity of each model. Every iteration reveals new opportunities to improve strength, detail, efficiency and finish.
The final product is the result of patience, precision and persistence. From and idea from the mind, to a digital concept, to a physical object, every print represents a journey of continuous refinement, where every layer brings an idea one step closer to reality.
